Rondinella

Rondinella is a Veronese red grape commonly used with other local varieties. Its technical profile leaves its historical origin unresolved.

Round berries and winged bunches

Rauscedo describes deeply five-lobed leaves, medium-to-large pyramidal bunches and round purple-black berries. The skins have a substantial waxy bloom. The vine is vigorous and productive, although the profile identifies sensitivity to drought.

A partner in regional wines

The nursery describes its use in Valpolicella and Bardolino blends and its suitability for prolonged grape drying. Its standalone wine description is medium-bodied, with restrained alcohol and tannin. The contribution in a blend still depends on proportions, ripeness and the producer’s method.
