Garganega

Garganega is a white grape associated with Soave and Gambellara in Veneto. The nursery describes significant variation and bases its morphology on the commonly grown material of those areas.

A long, winged bunch

Rauscedo describes long cylindrical bunches with pronounced wings and relatively loose berries. The rounded berries can become golden yellow and have thick skins. The vine is vigorous, and crop balance is important for ripening.

Fresh wine and dried grapes

The technical account describes fresh, aromatic white wine and wine made after suitable grape drying. It suggests a possible Greek origin without establishing it historically. That narrative and any exact genetic relationship with similarly named material require evidence beyond resemblance or an old name.
