Arneis
Arneis is a north-western Italian white grape associated with Piedmont. Its exact origin remains unknown in the nursery account.
Bunches and growing conditions
Rauscedo describes compact, winged bunches with small-to-medium berries that range from rounded to elliptical. Leaves may have three or five lobes. Well-exposed hills with ventilation suit the vine, while excessive heat is not favoured in the profile.
Several ways to make wine
The technical description includes youthful whites with floral and fruity aromas and useful acidity. It also records sparkling and dried-grape uses. Those possibilities describe the grape’s versatility; they do not mean that every appellation or every producer makes all of these styles.
