Petit Courbu

A white grape native to the Pyrenees. The catalogue describes small bunches and very small berries, with a capacity for fine aromatic wines.

Location: France

Origins and the vine

Petit Courbu is maintained as a named variety in its own right. Pl@ntGrape describes limited productivity and the usual use of long pruning. Its later ripening must be considered separately from the similar-sounding Courbu.

From grape to wine

The source gives a qualitative aromatic-wine assessment and identifies susceptibility to grey rot. It does not supply a full acidity, alcohol, body or tannin profile. Those numerical meters are consequently left undocumented rather than filled with neutral-looking scores that would imply evidence.
